Faezrah Rizalman

I'm a tech entrepreneur based in Kota Kinabalu.

I have over a decade of experience in software and product development, having worked with tech companies and startups in Kuala Lumpur before returning to Sabah in 2019. Since then, I've been focused on helping grow the local digital ecosystem - supporting talent, building tools, and creating opportunities where they didn't exist before.

I've also stepped into politics, bringing the same principles of innovation, transparency, and community-first thinking into action and reform.

Outside of work, I spend a fair amount of time travelling, often by train, usually with a book. Back home, I am often at a coffee shop with an Americano and pisang goreng, or recording episodes of the Pisang Goreng Podcast - yes, also named after pisang goreng.

I post snapshots of life on Instagram, make videos on TikTok, and I try to write longer-form thoughts on my Facebook Page.

Founder of Elevate Academy

I started Elevate to make tech careers more accessible in Sabah, especially for people who don't come from traditional pathways or have access to the right networks. Our programmes are hands-on, industry-driven, and designed to help people move into meaningful tech and digital careers.

It's my way of closing the gap between potential and opportunity as well as building a pipeline of homegrown talent that actually stays and thrives here.

Founder of Crocker42

Crocker42 is the kind of software company I wished existed when I first started. We work with local businesses to build websites, apps, systems and tools that are clear, useful, and designed to last. No hype, no fluff - just products that make everyday operations smoother and more digital.

Though our clients come from all over, Sabah remains our home base - a reminder that great tech can grow from local roots.

Vice President of MUDA

As MUDA's Vice President, I help shape the party's national direction and strategy, while overseeing our divisions in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan to ensure Borneo's voice is central to our political vision.

I also lead digital strategy and data-driven initiatives - everything from audience insights to campaign analytics - helping MUDA take a more evidence-based approach to politics.

Fellow at Nadi Institute

At Nadi, I work on digital strategy, policy reform, and ecosystem development with a specific lens on Sabah's needs. It's where I get to zoom out: to think long-term, ask structural questions, and explore what a more equitable digital future could look like - while still keeping the practical realities of today in mind.

Author

I write about technology, society, and Sabah often drawing from the overlap between the different spaces I work in.

Built in Sabah is my imagination of what Sabah could look like in the next 20 years: a digital future shaped by local choices, technology, policy, and ownership - but only if we start today.

Kalau Bukan Kita, Siapa? is more political, a call for the new generation to step forward and bring change in Sabah. Because if not us, then who?

Podcast Guest

I've appeared on a few podcasts, sharing my thoughts on technology, politics, and Sabah including Aiskrim Podcast, 2 Perempuan Gila, Denyut Nadi Podcast, Apa Kata MUDA, Bicara Alam dan Manusia, and Kopitiam Council.
